In a matter of 6 months I managed to earn 2 promotions, one from the GM, and the other from the owner himself due to my "dedication and hard work", while at the same time being the youngest employee. As manager, I would be in charge of overseeing and training the other workers, as well as taking orders from customers, as well as selling washes to customers. I improved chemistry between the workers, as well as improving effectiveness of their work.
Organized and hosted gatherings, dinners, etc, in order to raise awareness of leukemia, as well as raising funds to donate to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
As a stockman, I am in charge of everything from maintenance, to shelve stocking. This also involves customer service, which I always enjoy doing. I take pride in my work, and was noticed and recruited face-to-face, by the regional manager of hobby lobby corporations to work for him at his store. He said I did my job "better than the guys currently employed at my store." After a discussion and negotiation with upper management, we made a handshake deal, and I transferred to the Carmel Hobby Lobby, where I currently work.
As wall as being the had stockman, I am the trainer for all the new-hire stockmen as well. Whenever there's a new hire, it is my job to teach them through my experience, and guide them to become great workers. I utilize communication skills, as well as social skills to train them to work not just with the other employees, but with the customers as well. I promote dedication and hard work and always teach them to put pride in their work.
