As a Fossil Operations Tech III, My primary role was daily unit equipment inspections. This varied from walking the units top to bottom, inspecting all running equipment, all electrical MCCs, and 4KV breaker buildings. From time to time this would also involve monitoring the units from a stationary control room. Troubleshooting any issues and if it cannot be repaired, preparing the work order for the appropriate department for repairs.

As a material handler at a biomass power plant, I was responsible for keeping fuel pushed to plant to ensure operation. Unloading material from truck tippers to blend pile, then moving product to staging pile in preparation of final move to the plant re-claimer. Utilizing D8T and D7E dozers in the process as well as 950k loader and maintaining preventive maintenance on equipment as well as troubleshooting any and all problems with machines to keep them operating at peak efficiency in order to give max productivity to plant. Throughout my shift I also assisted Auxiliary Operator and Control Room Operator on any issues that arose. As well as constantly keeping watch on all moving parts of re-claimer as well as conveyor belts in fueling area to prevent any problems.
