Nicholas Belardo

I do a little bit of everything to keep the store running smoothly. I am responsible for mainly stocking shelves but I have many other responsibilities that I take on to help the store. Such are, having organized aisles, receiving shipments, sorting products for other departments, inventory collection, and computer work. Using my experience and professionalism here I also cover for department heads when needed.

As a host, I was the first point of contact for guests coming into the restaurant. My job was to greet customers, check them in, and get them to their tables. I also had to keep an eye on the floor of the rooms, managing reservations and waitlists, communicating with costumers on the phone, and coordinating with servers to make sure guests were seated as efficiently as possible. Through this role it strengthened communication skills and professionalism under pressure.

In this role I was mainly responsible for delivering dishes to the correct tables, checking that orders are complete, and making sure every table and room is clean, set, and perfect before serving. After taking care of my main priority I did additional work around the restaurant to help around with either the kitchen, bar, or servers to make sure everyone was oriented.

With this, it helped me thrive in a fast paced, team oriented environment, with the development of a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused during busy shifts.
