  • Assigned to PSB / Barrier Section since August 2008.
  • Coordinate and met with Patrol Boroughs, Bureaus, Community Affairs and event organizers for the deployment and removal of barricades and light towers.
  • Plan and map logistics for the layout of citywide events due to barricades.
  • Inspect barrier placements.
  • Inspect barrier removals.
  • Create rosters for daily roll call.
  • Request personnel with the Chief of Department's Detail Section.
  • Ensure proper attendance is met by outside personnel / detail assigned.
  • Ensure that Barrier Section trucks and PSB light towers are properly serviced and in good working condition.
  • Prepare Quartermaster requests for purchases of barriers, propane, carpentry supplies, paint supplies and various items.
  • Worked with fiscal in regards to yearly contract items such as propane contracts, metal and wood barrier contracts.
  • Contact person for various items with DCAS, Quartermaster, CorCraft, PSB Fiscal and various outside vendors.
  • Worked with an annual budget of $276,000.00 for the purchase of metal barriers, wood barriers and various supplies primarily used to refurbish broken and damaged barriers.
  • Ensure that all Department Communications were answered in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate special orders or supplies with PSB along with storing sensitive items for short and long term usage.
  • City Time {Timekeeper} entered all Barrier Section members tour changes, sicks, vacations, overtime {cash and time compensations}, leave of absence. Members included Uniformed and Civilian members permanently and temporarily assigned to the unit.
  • Create and maintain Barrier Personnel's schedules and assignments for all weekends regardless of the event or events.
  • Monitor and maintain unit overtime.
  • Deal with the landlord {city leased building} for needs and minor repairs.
  • Currently the O.E.E.O Liaison for the unit. A background check was done and have attended all training via in person and thru Teams meetings.
