  • I was involved in complete greenside bunker renovation that took place on our golf course by Frontier Golf
  • Moved irrigation when it was needed when renovation was going on and lowered and raised heads around greens
  • Applied all soil amendments prior to laying of sod
  • Responsible for assigning crew daily work assignments in absence of Superintendent
  • Involved in extensive removal of trees in off season
  • Conducted Sprays on all surfaces of golf course
  • Did drain work out of season to solve some of our problems that we have during the season
  • Aerated thin areas on the golf course and set them up for seed and fertilization to get them to grow
  • Listened and interacted with the members in order to hear their needs and concerns and address them if we could fix the problem

  • When I was at the Woodlands I started out as a laborer and worked myself up from that to a Turf Tech 2 at the time that was the highest that you could go
  • I was selected by the management team to do a wide variety of jobs because of my ability to run equipment
  • When working on a large resort I learned what goes into a high end property and was exposed to many maintenance practices not particularly involved on a golf course
  • Went through 5 PGA tours when the 84 Lumber classic was at the Woodlands
  • Did snow removal on all 3 shifts in dump trucks, ventracs, skid loaders and backhoes
  • Worked with the PGA tour Officials to make sure the golf course was PGA ready weeks before they came to play
  • I have removed cattails out of a pond with hip waiters on so they can see the green and as far as removing grass spots off rock cropping in a canoe
  • Worked side by side with removing and replacing irrigation and sod replacement all over the golf course
