  • As the Director of Facilities and Technical Services I am responsible for overseeing the comprehensive management and operation integrity of a 532-acre property, which includes 19 rides, four large restaurants, a splash pad, and a 250-room hotel with a restaurant and pool. In this leadership role I have strategic oversight of multiple departments, including ride maintenance, HVAC, electrical, controls, landscaping, water quality, sign shop, model shop, and more. I am responsible for ensuring optimal functionality, safety, and guest experience across all technical services, while managing 11 direct reports and a team of 104 supporting staff.
  • Responsible for the strategic management of an annual operation expenditure (OPEX) budget of $15 million, consistently driving cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiencies, while managing year-over-year budget increases. Successfully balanced the needs of a large-scale property, ensuring optimal use of resources without compromising service quality or safety.
  • Managed an average annual capital budget of $3 million, directed to site renew, prioritizing capital projects based on business needs, guest experience, and long-term facility sustainability. Led the budgeting process, including forecasting, allocation, and approval of capital expenditures, while achieving project objectives within scope and budget.
  • Work closely with senior leadership, finance, and operations teams to align budgetary goals with broader organizational priorities, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support growth, sustainability, and operational excellence.
  • Responsible for partnering with the parent company’s project management team to successfully deliver new and innovative attractions that enhance the guest experience. Worked closely throughout all phases of project planning, design, and execution to ensure alignment with the operational model and strategic objectives of the site. Provide ongoing feedback during the development and post-launch phases of new attractions, identifying opportunities for operational improvements and enhancements to ensure long-term success and operational efficiency.
  • Acted as the primary liaison with federal, state, county, and local jurisdictions to ensure full compliance across all aspects of land development and construction, including building and fire safety standards for a 532-acre property. Ensured all facilities, new construction, and renovations complied with current building codes, accessibility standards (ADA), and occupancy regulations. Managed documentation, permitting processes, and final inspections to support timely project completion. Served as the primary site representative for contract negotiations with Local 30 Operations Union, which oversees hotel engineering operations. Led discussions with the union’s business agent and shop steward to ensure fair labor practices, while aligning with organizational goals. Fostered a cooperative working relationship with union leadership to address workforce concerns, and improve operational efficiency.
