Work History

Warehouse Associate/Logistics Associate

ECS Tuning
Wadsworth, OH
11.2023 - 01.2026

Warehouse Associate:

Picker- Would be tasked with picking up to 12 orders at a time. Would get a cart with an iPad would login to my account and receive batches, up to 12, (one batch equals one order). Would have to accurately pick orders from the location that was given on the iPad, sometimes there would be multiple items at one location so having to identify the correct one was crucial. Then would have to take orders to correct packing tables or the machine. Heavy and large items went to big table packers, smaller items would either go to small table or the machine.

Packer-As a packer, a manager would assign you a pack station. You would login under your name and scan the LPN on the basket and it would bring up the order on the computer. Then you would have to scan each item for the order. Once that is done you would have to select the correct box or boxes to pack the items in, then you would weigh it then input the weight. You would have a sheet with all the barcodes for the different box sizes you would scan the correct barcode for the boxes you needed, then once you have the items in the box you would scan the ship barcode and it would print a shipping label for all the boxes. Put the shipping label on the box and the order is complete.

Logistics Associate:

Freight- As a freight person you were in charge of packaging and shipping over sized and heavy items such as hoods, front bumpers, rear bumpers, exhaust, brake kits, tires, transmission, engines and cylinder heads. You had a foam machine and dunnage at your disposal to help you pack and protect the items during transit. Sometimes you have to do "ship changes" if a box was oversized or weighed to much and needed a manual label from the shipping coordinator such as anything that needed to be shipped via 3rd party shipping company anything that could not be shipped through Fedex, UPS, or DHL.

Special Care- As a Special Care person who had to ship all the international orders, you had your own computer station with multiple monitors one for packing, one for product look up, and for order look up. International orders would have a "hold" label on them for international orders, sometimes international orders would require a ship change, international paperwork for customs, address translations, special care instructions or address modifications.

Special Care also had to deal with damaged, wrong parts or missing parts from orders or customer complaints in general via Slack which is a messenger we used to communicate with customer service representatives. Damaged product had to repacked by myself or a trusted packer. Missing or wrong product was noted and verified by either by the vehicle department specialist.

Warehouse Associate

Amazon
Akron, OH
06.2021 - 11.2023

Warehouse Associate:

Packer- As a packer you would be assigned an aisle and a station number, you would report to your station and login to the computer.

You would be assigned a color, that color was specific to you and your station. Behind you would be a wall of cubbies with lights on them. You would look for your color, make the box it told you on the computer, grab the items from the lit up cubbie, scan them, put them in the box with a good amount of dunnage so they would not move around, seal the box then place a LPN label on the box then put it on the conveyer belt and then the job is completed.

Packer

Akro-Mils
Wadsworth, OH
07.2018 - 02.2021

Packer- A manager would assign you to a station, each station was set up with a computer and a label printer and boxes for the assigned presses you would be packing for. You would pick your assigned parts off the conveyer belt and would sometimes have to trim flashing, torch stress marks, and wipe oil off the parts. Once you have done that they are ready to be packed. Some boxes fit 24 parts per box and other fit 1 part per box, depending on which station you were at. Once the parts are in the box you would print a label for each box then they were ready to be palletized, each part had a specific pattern you had to stack them by, once you had a full pallet you would put a master label on the pallet wrap them so they do not fall over when the floor person came to get them out of your way.

Machine Operator

JR Wheel
Norton, OH
10.2017 - 07.2018

Machine Operator- Operate turning machines in a safe manner. Had to operate two machines at the same times with two minute cycle times. Use manipulator lift to lift raw forgings in to the first machine which cut the outer diameter then use gauges and templates to ensure the outer diameter was cut with in specifications, then write down all the measurements. Blow chip and shavings out of first machine then reload first machine and repeat. The second machine cut the outer diameter so you would use the manipulator to load the second machine, let it cut the inner diameter then use gauges and templates to ensure it was within specifications blow the chip and shavings out of the machine then repeat.

Once the time on the press has elapsed the press would automatically open, then we had to unload the press take parts out, reload and repeat. Roofing Laborer

Preservation Exteriors
Akron, OH
09.2014 - 10.2015

Roofing Laborer- Duties as a roofing laborer included setting up tarps and laying tarps around the perimeter of the house so when we started working debris would not fall and damage the property and not make a mess. Load and set up up equipment, such as setting up ladders, carrying shingles and wood up the ladder, setting up a break, running air hoses and extension cords around the property. After everything was set up, the tear off would begin, tear the old shingles off quick and efficiently and load them in to a dump truck or dumpster in a way that fit the most debris. Once the tear off was complete it was my duty to lay down underlayments prior to the shingles going on. Once the underlayments were done I would lay the shingles out on the roof in a way that when they finished a bundle the next bundle would be right next to them. Also would cut and replace decking that may have been compromised from the previous roof. Once the all the shingles were laid we would pack up and go to the next job.
