Human Rights First - Data Scientist

In collaboration with the non-profit organization Human Rights First, my team is creating an app that collects and analyzes data for refugees seeking Asylum in the United States.

• Collaborated on a 15 person interdisciplinary team including multiple Front-End Developers, Data Scientiests, and external stakeholders to implement final feature designs and prepare application for launch.
• Analyzed existing code base and implemented changes to streamline the product, remove bugs, and increase accuracy.

Spotify Song Suggestor - Data Scientist

Suggestion app that analyzes multiple interests and returns comparable songs, articles, and videos.

Languages and Libraries used: Python | SQL | SQLAlchemy | Jinja2

• Designed and built an app that analyzes song input on 11 metrics and returned suggestions not based on categorical data. My team created multiple visualizations and an elegant UX for optimal user experience.
• After initial launch I created multiple additional features, such as an article recommendation for readers, as well as a video recommendation. I'm currently working on implementing a recommended learning objective.

Chess Openings Analysis - Data Analyst

• I created an algorithm to scrape data from the popular chess website Lichess, as well as used data generated by Lichess for further analysis.
• Used statistics to derive information such as win rate variance, statistical significance of extrinsic factors, cross-platform analysis, and categorization analysis.
• Implemented data pipelines that utilized Random Forest Classifier and other models.
