NICHOLAS MONACELLI

I was employed at Hibbing Taconite from September 25, 2023 as an Auto/Diesel Mechanic until I was laid off on April 5th, 2025. My experience there included module and wheel motor replacements on Komatsu 830E and Unit Rig MT4400 production trucks, major overhauls on Caterpillar D9 & D11 dozers, and major work on large wheel loaders such as a Letourneau L-1350, Komatsu WA1200, and Cat 993. I also performed extensive repairs on small fleet pickup trucks and medium duty trucks.

I left Ken’s A1 to pursue a similar job with better pay and benefits at Iron Range Tire Service. Performed advanced drivetrain and electrical diagnostics and repairs on all makes and models of vehicles.

• After I closed down my shop I went back to work for Ken at A1. Still currently working there performing extensive repairs on all makes and models of vehicles and overseeing the towing operation.

• I owned and operated my own repair shop for over a year. I had a large customer base that was very satisfied with my work but I ended up shutting down the operation due to the fact that I was renting a shop from a good friend that needed more space for his growing business.

• I worked for Ken's A1 Auto for many years servicing and repairing all makes and models of vehicles. I also managed Ken's A1 Towing Service in which I took full responsibility of hiring and trading employees to operate towing equipment, and also servicing and maintaining the equipment as necessary.

• I worked at Dave's while in high school as an assistant to the technicians and took care of shop maintenance as needed.
