Capstone Project about the effects of prescribed burns on the ranchlands in South Texas
- Did research for an entire semester about La Copita Ranch in Alice, Texas.
- Talked with the ranch manager about conservation efforts on the property.
- Consulted with firefighters who deal with wildfires about their techniques for doing burns.
- Took percentages of the invasive grass species before and after burns took place on the ranch.
- Finalized and presented our findings on a poster board to the head of the research project.
