Nicholas Romano

Focused Paramedic with 5 years of experience as an EMT and almost 4 years as a Paramedic. Driven to deliver excellent medical care and create strong patient rapport in challenging situations. One of my jobs at Scott Township EMS was to maintain supplies and equipment and prepare orders when needed. I am a diligent student focused on medicine, currently critical care, and dedication to prompt project completion and continual adaptation. Team-oriented collaborator with reliability and focus on equitable task distribution through group projects and motivation to accomplish mutually held goals.

• During my time in EMS, I have obtained several additional certifications.
• In 2022 I obtained my EMS Instructor certification.
• Prior to EMS I was an AHA HeartSaver CPR instructor. In the past year, I obtained my BLS, ACLS and PALS instructor certification and have taught several classes already.

During my time at Scott Township EMS I started several programs. I started our prepared for pediatrics certification by ensuring employees obtained their required hours of pediatric continuing education. I also put together a purchasing plan for additional equipment needed for the certification. Additionally, I started our breast cancer donation drive that we have done for the past four years now. And in 2022 I did a flu clinc with cooperation with St. Clair Hospital and contacted the American Red Cross and set up a blood drive with both held at the station.
