My daily tasks at exotic include making production parts in our ITAR controlled area for the F35 military aircraft. A big component to making these parts include custom fabrication and fitting if necessary depending on if the parts are not in tolerance range when made in the forming process. Some of my other responsibilities include running our production and safety idea board and ensuring the ideas are seen through and implemented. Some of the experience i have gained at exotic is a vast exposure level to fabricating and welding rare earth metal materials including inconel and titanium.
When hired at UMP I started in a final assembly area and after three months of working in that department I was transferred to the fabrication department where my tasks ranged anywhere from running basic hand notching machines, shears and press brakes to running a 1 million dollar punch press machine. After working in fabrication for roughly eight months I transferred out to the welding department where my daily tasks would include everything from welding up small parts to making big base frames our products would sit on. Some of my other daily tasks would include training our new hires and directing other employees.
