Currently responsible for 7 different departments; Dialysis, Sterilization, Rehabilitation services, EKG, Infusion Center, Cardiology/Heart Institute, and the Lab as well as the University of Georgia’s sport facilities. Within those departments, responsibilities held are:

• Perform preventative maintenance testing on medical devices using diagnostic tools to verify accuracy, functionality, and safety.
• Troubleshoot and perform repairs on devices.
• Coordinate with manufacturers / vendors for special repairs and PM’s.
• Maintain detailed records of all equipment data, PM’s, and repairs in a CMMS.
• Installation and configuration of newly introduced equipment for proper integration.
• Collaborate with fellow Biomed technicians and hospital staff to keep equipment safe to patient and users.

This company was a 3rd party vendor, usually worked with GE sub-contracted hospitals, that specialized in assisting understaffed biomedical equipment departments across the nation as well as inventorying entire healthcare systems to assisting in CMMS integration.

• Provided on-site biomedical equipment support to understaffed healthcare facilities across multiple states (Texas, Tennessee, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Colorado).
• Performed preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of medical equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of all equipment data, PM’s, and repairs in a CMMS.
• Quickly adapted to different hospital systems, workflows, and CMMS platforms
• Inventoried entire hospital systems for new CMMS systems (tags, device data, RFID)

• Conducted routine maintenance and repairs on biomedical equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Collaborated with clinical staff to troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize downtime.
• Assisted in calibration and testing of medical devices to maintain compliance with safety standards.
