The Behavior Intervention Specialist (BIS) is responsible for utilizing evidence based positive behavioral supports to enrich the lives of people by creating healthy and safe environments
Through teaching/modeling, BIS' will empower and train staff in creating meaningful opportunities to: enhance people's dignity, assist with decision making skills, teach prosocial replacement skills, and model/reinforce coping skills to reduce interfering behavior
Conducts Functional Behavior Assessments

Performs various Psychological Assessments
Reports and documents any events/activities that may hinder the health, safety and well-being of people (i.e., allegations of abuse, injuries, broken equipment, etc.)
As required, performs interview/assessments to assist in the investigative process for incident management
Reports to the Justice Center as a mandated reporter if there is reasonable cause to suspect abuse or neglect
Additionally, must follow all agency incident policy and procedures
