Projects

Salt Creek Assisted Living - $24.4 Million

Ground up construction of a 93,000 square foot, three story building with 81 units comprised of independent and assisted living as well as memory care. Building compromised of structural steel and metal framing construction. Project contains healthcare and security system installations for overseeing resident and patient needs. 

  • Structural system derived from a contractor lead design-build package.
  • Abundant life safety and healthcare related systems required and installed.

The Meadows Apartments - $29.4 Million / The Reserve on 77 Apartments - $24.3 Million

Sister projects both consisting of four buildings and 138,000 square feet of living area,161 total units. The meadows had a fifth building added consisting of an additional 29 units and 28,000 square feet. Projects included offices, clubhouse, garages and in ground swimming pools.

  • Projects ran concurrent which required precise scheduling of subcontractors shared between projects.
  • Multi phased construction schedule and turn over for occupancy.

Millard Central Middle School Renovation- $10.2 Million

Renovation of 168,000 square foot middle school. Scope includes HVAC, electrical, addition of fire sprinkler service throughout building, new EPDM roofing system, and curtain wall replacement. Steam boiler removal and replacement of hot water boiler system as well as rebuild of twelve existing air-handler units. Architectural improvements of new floors, ceilings and paint throughout building as well as portions of design development with owner and architect.

  • Project schedule proposed by school district as 5 years of summer only work. Bid schedule shortened project to 3 summers. Through dynamic scheduling and coordination, current schedule to be completed in 2 summers.
  • Phasing of HVAC and electrical gear replacement during ongoing school operations.
  • Continued work with owner and architect to analyze existing components not in scope for replacement.

Cottonwood Hotel- Renovation and Addition- $34.2 Million

  • Complete renovation of historic building for 163 unit luxury hotel with finishes and enmities for a four star rating. Addition of a three story annex building consisting of 42 guest units with conference center, fitness facility, and operations offices as well as installation of 48,000 gallon heated pool and 980 gallon spa. Restaurant and bar lounge on multiple levels. Continued design and finish coordination throughout project. High profile project located in busy midtown district.
  • Historical preservation and restoration of multiple facets of building envelope and interior.
  • Maintain and restoration of historic ballroom including original wood flooring and plaster.

Whiteman Air Force Base Dental Office Renovation- $950k

Architectural rework of existing military base dental office located southeast of Kansas City, MO. Scope required coordination of work around operational dental center for duration of construction. Challenges included safety of dental personnel, adherence to medical cleanliness standards, and condensed schedule.

  • Project came in under budget and ahead of schedule.
  • Received highest score possible from government agency in project post mortem.
  • Remote management of project located in different state.

Gifford Park Elementary School- New Construction- $10.6 Million

New two story elementary school built within developed urban area. Project featured strong community engagement and investment in school.

  • Two story CMU structure with storm shelter.
  • HVAC/Plumbing tie in with existing education facility across the street.

Betz Elementary School- HVAC Renovation- $1.3 Million

60,000 square foot school life safety and HVAC upgrade completed in one summer to meet tight schedule demand.

  • Replacement of existing central steam heating and central chiller cooling equipment/systems with a new Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heating/cooling system throughout the building.

Bellevue East High School- HVAC Renovation- $7.5 Million

Renovation of 140,000 square foot high school including extensive HVAC and electrical work. Architectural replacement of floors and ceilings as well as addition of classrooms.
