
I started as a dishwasher at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill with 0 cooking knowledge or experience. In 4 months I was trained on the line on Pantry (salads, appetizers, fryer, desserts). In 1 1/2 - 2 years I was trained on every station, with grill being my least trained, and I was made a Corporate Trainer, Key Manager, and I made the BOH schedule for the last 3-4 months of working there.
I am very team oriented and will adapt how I work in order to aid in team efficiency. I am also very enthusiastic about training and teaching others. I very much enjoy building others up, setting them up for success, and watching them develop into a more capable team member.
What I lack in experience, I make up for in my ability to learn quickly. Not only do I ask questions, but I also explore in my own time how to do something new/more efficiently. I have spent the past year exploring the culinary arts at home, absorbing and applying as much information as possible. In doing so I have formed a great passion for cooking and learning, and because of this I am very driven to push myself to meet as high a standard as possible.
