As a server assistant at Devil’s Kitchen, my primary responsibility is to help maintain a smooth and efficient flow throughout the restaurant. This includes ensuring the dining room is consistently prepared for service by restocking server stations with essentials such as napkins and clean glassware, as well as thoroughly cleaning and resetting tables to accommodate the correct number of guests. In addition to maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, I am responsible for running food from the kitchen to the tables. This requires close attention to detail to ensure each guest receives their meal exactly as expected, including verifying that meats are cooked to the proper temperature and that all sides and modifications are correct. By staying attentive and organized, I help support both the kitchen staff and the overall guest experience.
During the summer months while I was in college, I worked in landscaping, where I was responsible for a wide range of outdoor improvement projects. My duties included completing full backyard renovations, installing water fountains and irrigation systems, constructing decorative rock features, and planting trees and other vegetation. Each project required careful planning, physical labor, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality results. Working in this role strengthened my ability to manage multiple projects at the same time while meeting deadlines, and it also reinforced a strong work ethic built on reliability, teamwork, and problem-solving in demanding environments.
