Hello, my name is Nicolas Colome. I am a young, motivated, able-bodied man ready for any obstacle or challenge. I am open to learning any craft or skill to gain more wisdom and knowledge. I will do 100% of the work with 100% effort. I started my work history by working as a camp counselor and lifeguard, learning to be patient with children, plan their days, and ensure a good example leads them. My second path was military service, where I learned marksmanship, hand-to-hand combat, land navigation, basic parachuting, etc. My next job at FedEx allowed me to handle metal cans filled with freight, weigh them up, keep an inventory, load multiple types of aircraft with all sorts of machinery, and learn to be a team player. I later became a Transportation Security Officer (TSO) and FLETC certified. I handled the security at my airport with check-in procedures, explosive and narcotic awareness, and de-escalation tactics. During my homeland security career, I became activated on a mission to support the Florida Department of Corrections while attached to the National Guard. I was trained as a correctional officer and worked on death row, handling death row inmates and then working in other types of facilities, where I managed and maintained inmates daily. I am currently a Sergeant in the Army, certified with basic leadership course qualifications and experience through many different missions, which include hurricane response, training of overseas allies while overseas, riot duty, and capital security. I am motivated and ready to work hard; I will show my actions speak louder than my words.
