As a US/EU (dual) citizen who grew up in Europe (Rome, Florence, Verona and Pordenone - Italy) and later Brussels, Belgium, finally arriving in the USA at the beginning of high school sophomore year (mid-2021), I experienced full immersion in these cultures as a native, studying in each of their local public school systems, giving me fluency in Italian, French, and English. Ultimately, I have demonstrated to myself that it is possible to excel in the rigorous IB Program while being a top-tier soccer athlete, dedicating time to supporting my community and subsequently getting into a prestigious institution like University of San Diego where I am pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming a mechanical engineer.
Having observed the United States from a distance — as an Italian, Belgian, and lastly as an American from within— I now understand that I have acquired a distinctive perspective and mindset as well as a strong tenacity in adapting to various environments. Along the way, however, I have developed an incredible sense of resilience and problem-solving skill sets. Therefore, I not only bring with me extraordinary experiences and multilingual fluency but most importantly an engineering perspective.
