  • Full-time employment (40 hrs. per week), weekdays and occasional weekend events.
  • Gather survey data from public for research projects including interest in community gardens in schools to promote community health and organic composting. Data gathered will be used to support Sacramento County assist local educational offices with organic collection, food donation and collection programs, compost and garden installation. Program development.
  • Explored new technologies and approaches to streamline processes including updating public outreach material on proper disposal of animal carcasses to prevent disease spread. While employed with Sacramento County I was tasked with updating the websites public outreach web tool with proper disposal techniques to align with SB1383. I noticed disposal for animal carcasses stated, "place carcass directly in trash bin if under 15 pounds". I discussed proper carcass waste disposal with management, and outreach material was changed to place carcass in sealed container for disposal if under 15 pounds to prevent the spread of disease.
  • Wrote white paper for the Sustainability Manager of Sacramento County, effectively communicating complex information on community gardens and health benefits related to green spaces and steps of implementation. The paper involved a survey of community gardens in Sacramento County, describing waitlist for garden space in 2020, how community gardens have been impacted by COVID19, and methods of garden funding and activities for the public.
  • Organized administrative survey data, providing valuable insights for decision making. Internal survey data to assist with administrative projects at Sacramento County facilities. Survey includes data on sustainable practices and purchases by the County, that reflect the goals of the Counties Environmental Purchasing Policy. Survey will be used to audit County facilities.
  • Managed data, ensuring accuracy and easy access. Assisted coworkers with projects organizing data for analysis preparation. Mainly included using storage software and deriving large datasets.
