• Performs a variety of duties in connection with the processing of personnel actions for employees under different personnel systems, maintains electronic official personnel folders (e-OPF).
• Responsible for daily monitoring of personnel systems for needed personnel actions, follows up with the employee and or service for those action, and for any missing information.
• Initiates all personnel action requests related to benefits and records (such as name changes, Federal Employee Health Benefit enrollment, FEGLI Life Insurance changes, separating employees and TSP changes).
• Supports Specialist and WorkLife programs within HR including Telework Program, Disabled Veteran Leave, Childcare Subsidy and Transit Benefits.
• Determines employees' benefits eligibility (for example, life and health insurance, leave group, federal retirement vs. social security).
• Responsible for reviewing and routing all requests for WorkLife benefits submitted to HR.
• Provides administrative support by responding to questions, complaints, problems, or situations, and providing explanations of HR policy in WorkLife Benefits.
• Facilitate Benefits portion of New Employee Orientation (NEO) and Health Benefits Fairs. Including coordinating with carriers, speakers, and NEO leaders.
