Summary

Through being a camp counselor, Emory’s Office of Sustainability Farmers Market internship, volunteering, tutoring, babysitting, working in the service industry, and as an usher, I have garnered social skills that allow me to interact well with people in many settings. I have learned a lot from working with children in various settings, and I would be ecstatic to be part of the wonderful education that Food Corps provides. I have a compassionate nature, and a drive to serve my community. Throughout my years in school, I have been a dedicated student, and I'm interested in applying my excellent communication and interpersonal skills in the Food Corps. I am passionate about regenerative gardening and farming, and I believe that access to nourishing and delicious food is a human right. I am passionate about childcare, eldercare, community building, and I do my best to bring empathy to all my interactions. In May 2026, I will be graduating from Emory University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in order to integrate my interests in food justice, spiritual connection with the Earth, Native American and Indigenous practices, education/caregiving, environmental science, specifically soil science and ecology, visual art, social justice, and environmental justice.
