I am a dedicated and knowledgeable tutor specializing in biology, writing, computer science, and standardized testing. My passion lies in creating engaging learning experiences tailored to individual student needs, fostering success in both classes and standardized exams. Additionally, having had experience with tutoring neurodivergent students and being neurodivergent myself, I am able to effectively help students from all backgrounds achieve their academic goals.
In my current role, I am actively engaged in a dynamic team focused on the collection of human subject data, specifically exploring memory and spatial navigation to investigate spatial pattern separation. I am also assisting with data pre-processing and analysis using MATLAB.
I assisted with support duties which involved managing and maintaining multiple vivariums, taking and restocking lab inventory, cataloging data, and following lab protocol. I also practiced basic husbandry skills such as mice tailing, anesthetizing, and euthanizing, and using PCR to determine mice mutant strains.
As shift-lead, I problem-solved to address customer and general store concerns, and I worked with different teams to ensure quality customer service and store management. I took initiative to discuss and implement additional procedures to maximize efficiency and safety with coworkers and managers.
As Bishop's second Science Olympiad head coach, I grew the Science Olympiad team by marketing it within the school, securing training and funding resources, managing logistics such as finding event coaches, and by coordinating between parents, teachers, and students. I also coached (and competed) in the astronomy event from 2019-2022.
