As a travel nurse working in hospital settings, my objectives are to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by quickly adapting to diverse clinical environments, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating effectively with healthcare teams. I focus on administering medications, performing treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care accurately. As an in-home nurse for pediatric patients with tracheostomies and feeding tubes, my objectives are to provide specialized care in the home setting, focusing on tracheostomy and gastrostomy tube management, monitoring vital signs, educating the families on care procedures, and coordinating with healthcare providers to implement individualized care plans. In both roles, I strive to maintain up-to-date clinical skills and ensure the best possible outcomes for my patients through compassionate and proficient nursing care.
As a float pool nurse, I provide care across a variety of units including Med-Surg, Telemetry, ER, Psych, Ortho, and the prison unit. I adapt quickly to different environments and patient needs, whether I'm managing post-op patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms, responding to emergencies, supporting individuals with mental health challenges, or ensuring safety in a correctional setting. I assess patients, give medications, start IVs, educate families, and work closely with each unit’s team. It can be fast-paced and unpredictable, but I enjoy the challenge and the opportunity to learn something new every day while giving the best care I can.
