Accomplished CNC machinist and manager with a robust background at Caterpillar and leadership roles in other businesses. Excelled in precision machining and problem-solving, enhancing operational efficiency and team performance. Expert in CNC operation and hungry to learn as much as possible in other areas. Demonstrated ability to be depended on and have strong organizational skills. I have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy. I am extremely motivated to continue my path towards hitting my career goal of management.
I began my career at Caterpillar as a material specialist 2. I started that role in logistics as a stand up fork truck driver, loading and unloading track shoes and bolts to assemblers. I quickly moved up to a puller that would drive sit down fork trucks to bring parts from one building to another. Shortly there after I was made a stager. As a stager, I went over the orders and built them based on priority and availability. I became the "unofficial" trainer and was asked to join an improvement group, which I did, until I graduated college and started my new job in components. In components, I was first put on ABA grinder. While training there I learned about changing the grinder wheel, doing quality checks, coolant chillers, hoists, cranes, and making offsets in the programs. After that, I ended with the job I wanted, as a CNC machinist at the 5 Axis. On this asset, I am responsible for the quality of master links being machined. To do that, I check all parts with hard gages and periodically do CMM checks. If any offsets are needed I put them in the program. If tooling is needed, I change inserts and rebuild tools such as mills, drills, bores, taps. I also de-burr the parts.
I ran the day to day operations including, the banking, the books, the scheduling, hiring/firing, stocking, ordering, sales, service, payroll, and cleaning. I learned great problem solving skills as well as leadership skills.
