.Dedicated Teaching Assistant with 10 years experience, focused on supporting faculty with classroom needs such as planning activities for kids, instructing and supervising kids in social and developmental activities and assisting them in any activity we are working on. I thoroughly enjoy working with students by providing a safe and fun learning environment.
I worked as a paraprofessional at the Young Elementary school with kids from Kindergarten to sixth grade. My job was to assist the classroom teacher by providing instructional, behavioral and other support to students either in a small group or one on one. I spent my first few years there working in the DLC ( developmental learning center) with a small group of children who had developmental disabilities. The rest of my time there I floated around from grade to grade depending on the needs of the school/teachers.
I worked as an Applied Behavior Analysis counselor in a classroom of children around the ages of 5 to 8. These students had autism, intellectual disabilities, and developmental disabilities. Our job included working one on one with students to create treatment plans that would help reinforce helpful and desirable behaviors, which included a classroom and home setting.
