Administers conscious sedation (moderate sedation) per competency under direction of Provider. Accesses patients before, during, and after administration of conscious sedation and provides appropriate care. Continuously evaluates the patient’s needs, plan of care, and nursing actions, adjusting the plans as required to provide optimum patient outcome. Starts IVs and manage IVs during procedure.
Works throughout the hospital in a variety of units including Medical-Surgical, Emergency Room, Anesthesia Recovery/ MRI/ PACU, NICU, Outpatient Clinic. Responsible for the care, education and management of a diverse range of patients throughout the hospital in many different settings and equity levels.
Offered, Accepted and Completed 13 week contract through HOST Nursing Agency. Medical Surgical pediatric unit. Assisted in planning individual treatment programs in consultation with Charge Nurse, Director of Nursing and other staff using established knowledge and resources in planning care, implementing care and patient teaching.
Per Diem employment with a multitude of different opportunities; school nursing, outpatient clinics, COVID testing and assesment, Phone triage, vaccine administration and teaching. Pediatrics and Adult care exposure.
Assures proper placement of patients within the Home Health Care setting by gathering pertinent patient information. Oversees the patient’s transition to home care, Educates patients, their families and the facility staff about the services and products provided. Serves as a point of contact, coordination, and communication with other providers on a daily basis. Provides oversight to the providers regarding the patient and proper assessment and treatment processes.
