Valve Technician III at Blue Origin with expertise in aerospace soldering and team leadership. Proven track record in building efficient work centers and enhancing operational workflows. Skilled in schematic interpretation and people management, I excel at meeting deadlines while fostering a collaborative environment to achieve team goals.
-In this position I became proficient in navigating all of blues online platforms (IE: Jules, Costpoint, Wiki, Engineering workbench, ODOO). I participated and passed all rocket school courses applicable to my job scope as well as some outside of my job scope to gain more knowledge. I have been hands on in learning to build valves and use all precision measuring tools, along with learning the importance of packaging, cleaning and transporting hardware.
-In October of 2023 I moved up into a lead roll and was an instrumental part in building 4 work centers in Wally Funk. I helped build Polishing, Deburr, DI and Coil Winding. Building these workcenters involved not only reviewing CN's and ordering compliant equipment but also attending the correct training, setting up my own OJT's and training other techs. The most current work center I helped build is the coil winding work center for the HVLT coil ASSY. This work center required special certifications in Aerospace soldering, electrical assemblies/ inspection and wiring harnesses. It also required training and OJT with HiPot testing, which I now preform daily. I went through 6 weeks of IPC courses to obtain all of these certifications while still being hands on with my team and fulfilling my daily lead duties. I currently lead Polishing, Deburr, DI and HVS/HVLT. My lead duties I attend to everyday include updating tier slide to show current work for each tech in each of my 4 work centers, being hands on to help with any questions or concerns with work that was delegated, communicating with cross functional teams, problem solving, quick thinking, and helping to make sure each tech is reaching the goals that they aspire to reach. Checking in with each tech regularly is important as to make sure I am providing sufficient support.
As a business owner I am responsible for overall bookkeeping of customer sales, tax collections, and on time reporting to multiple government agencies. As the head mechanic I am responsible for the full intake process of every bike received, creating estimates and using my technical knowledge to complete each job on schedule.
