Kindergarten Curriculum Task Force

  • Worked with Kindergarten teachers from around USD 475 each summer to prepare materials for the next school year. The task force works with district leaders to plan curriculum, create assessment materials, revise current materials for each subject area, create pacing calendars and assessment calendars for district Kindergarten classes and teachers. Also helped create the proficiency scales for the district’s transition to standards-based grading in the 2020-2021 school year.

  • Served as one of two steering chairs for my grade level for the district. I led professional development for all kindergarten teachers during summer, afterschool and during district professional development days. Coordinated curriculum task work for the grade level during summer that included: revising assessments, creating assessment calendars and planning curriculum for the entire school year. Met monthly with my co-steering chair and leaders of the district teaching and learning department. I was part of the task force to create the proficiency scales to transition the district into standards-based grading for the 2020-2021 school year.
