  • Participates in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings by providing input regarding assessments or services provided, assisting in identifying priorities, recommending methodology and integrative approaches, and responding to the input of other team members in order to ensure a program of continuous active treatment is established for each individual.
    Implements residential components of the ISP for assigned individuals by completing or ensuring the completion of assessments and interdisciplinary reports, developing training plans and/or support procedures, conducting services, training residential services aide (RSA) staff, and monitoring services delivered in order to maximize the delivery of active treatment.
    Assists the Incident Management Point Person in determining the incident's cause, and assists in recommending strategies that lead to the prevention of incidents, including the monitoring and implementation of preventive strategies and center-wide initiatives in assigned living areas.
    Directs RSA staff by implementing established management/supervisory directives, procedures, and practices; coordinating the completion of day-to-day work assignments; observing work in progress; conducting living area discussions; and reviewing work performance strengths and deficits with the supervisory staff in order to maximize the utilization and productivity of assigned staff.
    Ensures the maintenance of each individual’s unit record/chart by reviewing RSA staff documentation for compliance with records policy/procedures, and advising supervisory staff of findings in order to reinforce or correct compliance with applicable standards and policies.
    Guides and directs RSA staff in developing the skills necessary to conduct residential training plans, and supports them by assisting in identifying training needs, monitoring and guiding work performance, and reviewing reports in order to ensure that work performance meets standards.
    Requests supplies and equipment to fully implement the goals and programs established by the IDT to maximize the delivery of active treatment and personal growth.
    Participates in the center’s QI initiatives by knowing and understanding the established goals and objectives, provides requested information/data relative to the achievement of the goals and objectives, and participates in the identification of new center QI initiatives.
    Represents the facility and the administration by serving as a role model employee, complying with facility policies, advocating for persons with disabilities, and interacting appropriately with the staff and the public in order to maintain effective and efficient facility operations.
    Completes related duties and assignments by interacting regularly with unit and facility staff, and assisting in times of need, in order to ensure consistent unit operations and achieve unit and division/facility goals.
