NICOLE TALBOT

I recently transferred to the Academy when the decision was made to consolidate 7th and 8th grade into one school in the district. I have been teaching middle school ELA for the last 16 years. In total, I have 24 years of teaching experience as a loyal and dedicated employer of Assumption Parish District. In addition to my certification 1-8, I also graduated from Nicholls with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

The following are some of the roles and responsibilities as a dedicated and passionate teacher:

• Designed engaging lesson plans that addressed diverse learning styles and increased student engagement in 7th grade ELA.
• Facilitated discussions that fostered critical thinking and improved students' literary analysis skills through collaborative learning.
• Integrated technology into the classroom by utilizing online resources such as Google Classroom and Common Lit.
• Assisted in developing curriculum maps that aligned with state standards.
