Being a weather enthusiast means having a deep fascination with the atmosphere and the forces that drive weather patterns.
I often track storms, observe cloud formations, monitor forecasts, and study meteorological data like radar images, satellite maps, and weather models. Some might engage in storm chasing, trying to witness extreme weather events firsthand, while others contribute to public safety by volunteering as storm spotters or participating in weather-related communities.
In terms of learning, many weather enthusiasts I became a self-taught expert, studying topics like atmospheric pressure systems, fronts, thunderstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. In the fall of 2025, I plan on attending Northern Illinois University for meteorology to utilize my passion. My joy comes from sharing my passion—whether by helping others understand the weather, warning people of severe weather, or just engaging in discussions with other enthusiasts.
