• Assist students in exploring concepts by developing engaging, learning-focused activities that meet specific learning goals, align with curriculum requirements, and incorporate students' prior knowledge, interests, and learning needs.
• Incorporate learning experiences that facilitate cultural awareness and a global mindset.
• Evaluate students' understanding of course material through formative and summative assessments.
• Provide support for students and their families and foster positive attitudes towards learning, participation and achievement.
• Communicate frequently with parents, learners, and faculty to provide feedback and discuss instructional strategies.
• Participate in collaborative department meetings to provide input about curriculum, learner achievement and school events.

• Coordinate planning and curriculum alignment across the grade level to ensure consistency and adherence to academic standards.
• Lead biweekly grade-level team meetings to facilitate collaboration, share best practices, and address instructional challenges.
• Support new or fellow teachers by sharing effective classroom strategies, resources, and providing constructive feedback.
• Communicate with administration to relay grade-level needs, challenges, and successes.
• Support behavior management systems and promote a positive school culture within the grade level.
• Coordinate grade-level events, field trips, and parent engagement activities.

• Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of staff, ensuring all personnel are qualified and maintain a high standard of education and care.
• Process staff wages, ensuring timely and accurate payment in accordance with employment contracts and relevant regulations.
• Manage fee collection from parents, ensuring timely payments and addressing any financial queries.
• Apply for and manage government subsidies, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and maximising available funding for the kindergarten.
• Mentor and guide university students completing internships or practicums, offering support and feedback on their practical teaching experience.
• Ensure the kindergarten complies with all local education, health, and safety regulations, maintaining an environment that meets or exceeds licensing requirements.
• Build strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their children’s progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
• Lead, motivate, and support the kindergarten team, fostering a collaborative and positive work culture.
