• Manages the provision of media and information services in a state juvenile facility using current media practices.
• Develops and manages the library's collection to include cataloging print and non-print materials.
• Provides reference services and aids students in the development of information literacy skills and digital citizenship instruction.
• Facilitate professional development workshops for staff in the area of Library Resources and Services and Instructional Technologies across the Curriculum.

• Served as the library's primary liaison to all first-year experience-related initiatives, including coordinating the library's involvement in the
  campus' FYE seminar and new student orientations and activities.
• Collaborated with the digital literacy librarian to direct the library's instructional approaches for first-year and transfer students.
• Connect with the campus community to demonstrate and promote the role of the library in instruction and student success.
• Participated in professional development activities related to the scholarship of teaching and learning, learning theory, equity in the classroom, and education.

Achievements:

• Instrumental in spearheading the Library's Research Bridge Program which fostered a relationship between Howard University Library and the District of Columbia's Public and Charter high school librarians. This program was designed to introduce 11th and 12th grade students for college-level research.
• Served as a library liaison to the Howard University Middle School (MS2) .
• Participated in a Webinar Series with Credo Reference highlighting innovative library instruction.

• Created a school learning environment that fostered a love for reading and promoted research throughout the school community by developing and administering an integrated school library media program.
• Planned learning activities which allowed students to move towards independence and self-directed learning.
• Evaluated, selected, and maintained a collection of age and developmentally appropriate materials from print to the newest information technologies that supported the school-wide curriculum and were appropriate.
