• Installing and configuring VMware ESXi, VSAN Microsoft Hyper-V and vCenters 7.X & 8. x. Taking appropriate actions to resolve issues while doing the installation. Mounting, Unmounting volumes and assign lun’s to Hosts and also Raw disk mappings (RDM’s) to the VM’s/host. Performing hypervisor host patching through update manager and command line.
• Deploying and managing VM’s / instances on the ESXi host, VSAN, MS Hyper-V, hypervisor. We are also configuring the OS as per the policy and doing OS patching either manually or using different type of tools. Installing and upgrading virtual machine VMware Tools and hardware to improve virtual machine performance as per the VMware recommendation.
• Managing & Troubleshooting disk space, processor and network utilization related issues on servers. Also Monitoring and troubleshooting physical server hung issues, hardware, and low disk space issues. Analyzing the logs based on the issue and sharing the root cause for the same.
• Installation and administration of different OS version like windows server 2008, 2012, 2016,2019 servers. Upgrading the OS either in-place or clean based on the user’s requirement and feasibility. Performing server migration activity using various tools and convertors.
• Instantaneous acknowledgement of high severity issues, timely resolution, preparing RCA and implementation of Proactive measures to avoid these issues from reoccurring. Following the ITSM process like, Incident management, Change management, Problem Management and Alert management.
• Configure HA and DRS features in a cluster based on the host and cluster configuration. Creating DRS Rules like Affinity and Anti Affinity for VM’s to Hosts in the Cluster.
• Configuring Virtual Switches like standard and distributed Switch. Configuring the Port groups, NIC Teaming and VLAN management. Troubleshoots on Network issues at host level also fix the issue related FC, network switches.
• Troubleshooting the problems relate to VM’s performance through system Event logs, ESXi esxtop cmdlets and try to diagnosis the issue. Installations of Firmware, Drivers and System related tools on servers.
• Generates the health check report of the ESXi for servers in maintenance mode, Not Responding, HA alerts, NTP issues, hardware issues, ILO/IDRAC issues and fix them. Giving defined reports on daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly basis and based on the Requirement from the customer.
