ICU/CCU Fellowship

• Provide direct care of infants from prematurity and critically ill newborns to infants as old as 3 months with multi-system abnormalities disease and syndromes, including, but not limited to neurological, cardiac, gastric, urinary and respiratory, extremely low birth weight babies and post operative care for surgical babies.
• Care for infants on various types of respiratory support systems including High Frequency Oscillator Ventilators, Nitric Oxide, JET and Conventional Ventilators.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical professionals and other staff to ensure the quality of care given.
• Teach the parents how to care for their infant in the correct manner and what signs and symptoms to be aware of when infant is revealing signs of illness and how to care for infant upon discharge to home.
