• Provided all nursing care needs for a nonverbal/fully dependent patient while maintaining a professional yet compassionate relationship with Patient's family.
• Care provided under the supervision of RN via various forms of communication, including documentation, emails and phone calls to ensure continuity of care.
• Delivered medications and bolus feedings via G-tube as ordered.
• Tracheostomy care including suctioning, cleaning, and changing as needed in order to maintain patency

• Updated patient chart using Therap with data such as medications to keep records current and support accurate treatments.

• Set up and streamlined a daily sick call or clinic to see a provider based on written requests from patients.
• Often worked alone during shifts, only medical person on jail premises.
• Responsible for medication passes in various housing units while maintaining personal safety and working alongside Correctional Staff.
• Responded to all Emergency calls within the jail, often requiring a quick assessment and decision making that could be life or death.
• Clear patient/inmates upon intake who were often under the influence of various substances.

• Chronic care clinic implemented to monitor and maintain patients with various needs such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and chronic pain etc.
• Monitored patients for changes in behavior indicative of psychiatric referrals if needed or requested.
• Pre and post natal care for women, along with women's gynecologic needs.
