Work History

Horse Management/ Personal Assistant

Raw Deal Ranch

Directly in charge of the Raw Deal Ranch horses' health and management. I also perform various ranch management tasks. Starting in 2021 I have also been involved in improvements to wildlife management and conservation for the ranch and a small amount pond, river, and fish health. I also perform personal assistant and companion tasks to the co-owner of the ranch. This includes accompanying and leading horseback rides with the owner and her family around the ranch and into part of the Absaroka/Beartooth wilderness and some household tasks.

A majority of this job is spent alone and requires me to find and complete projects on my own so I am very self reliant and self motivated.

Volunteer Experience

  • I have been a volunteer with the 4-H program in Sweet Grass County since 2020. I aid with the dog and horse program.
  • I was a member of the Search and Rescue team in 2010. During this year I was involved in monthly training exercises that focused on safety in back country and river situations and in safely extracting injured persons.
  • I started volunteering at the All Creatures Veterinary Clinic in the summer of 2008 and spent much of my time in high school volunteering or going to the vet clinic during class through the Partners in Learning program. I also had an internship at this clinic for a semester of college.
  • I have also been on two ride alongs with current game wardens in October of 2023. The first with Warden Courtney Tyree where we patrolled up the Main Boulder and into the Beartooth/Absaroka wilderness. The other was with Sargent Derek Fagone and we patrolled North of Big Timber. In both cases we were looking for hunters but with Sargent Fagone we were also paying attention to how many deer and antelope we encountered because the numbers of those species had been down that year.
