American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Rocket Design

September 2023 - December 2023

Lead a team of three to design, build, and launch a mid-powered rocket using a G74-9W rocket motor.  Through the use of software including OpenRocket and SolidWorks, the team simulated rocket flight and trajectory to be tested on launch day, where the rocket was launched to over 900 feet.


L1 Rocketry Certification Rocket

January 2024 - Current

Designed and currently building a high-powered rocket using an H135w-14a motor.  Created a custom nose cone and fins through the use of 3D-printing and laser cutting, using designs created and tested using software including OpenRocket and SolidWorks, as well as refabricated parts in order to better fit specific needs of the project.  Once building, testing, and simulating is complete,  launching will take place on March 17th, 2024, with a projected height of over 2,200 feet.


Great Naval Orange Race (GNOR) Boat Competition

January 2024 - Current

Leading a team of four to design and manufacture a custom automated model boat to race on a course.  Following a strict budget, the hull was built using 3D-printed and repurposed parts that will carry the electronics allowing the boat to self-steer.  Using an Arduino, the rudder and propeller will be programmed to race against over 250 other teams.
