- Saved $67 Piece cost and over $15M over life of vehicle for Steering System as cost down efficiency by redesigning steering component.
- Lead advanced project steering and coordination skills , independently managing projects for Steering system components from conception to mass production.
- Actively engaged in hands-on testing, generating innovative ideas and solutions to enhance electric vehicle performance and reliability.
- Responsible for creating System level Steering requirements, RFQ’s and engage with suppliers to source parts while meeting both performance and cost target.
- Established and released hard points for Steering components to meet all functional requirements and packaging in vehicle environment.
Define technical requirements and test procedures, DVP’s to meet regulations and performance targets (e.g. Durability, Crash, Functional Safety, Environment, software features, etc.). - Proficient in CAD tools for packaging chassis components and designing parts, managing requirements, integrating systems, and overseeing manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Released 3D CAD, drawings, Bill of Materials and responsible to maintain Product lifecycle Management of entire steering system.
- Worked with I-Shaft Supplier to create unique triple cardan joint to package in challenging vehicle environment while also making sure to have very low velocity variations and best on center steering feel.
- Collaborated with suppliers to develop test specification at component level and making sure to meet specification through DV and PV Testing.
- Executed testing/data acquisition of Steering system and analyze results to confirm system meets all target design specifications.
- Worked closely with vehicle dynamics team to make sure steering vehicle dynamic performance targets are achieved and assist team in tuning of steering system.
- Responsible for design of Steering systems, mainly Electrical Power Steering (EPS) including writing vehicle level and component level DVP&R to meet validation requirements.
