Project Description:

The SBI General Insurance System is a comprehensive platform that manages the full lifecycle of general insurance operations. This system facilitates various functions, including quotation generation, underwriting, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, claims processing, reinsurance, billing, collections, payments, and customer management. Additionally, it supports sales, marketing, and various other operational activities, ensuring streamlined processes and enhanced customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Requirement Analysis: Actively engaged in discussions with Business Analysts to analyze and clarify project requirements.
• Documentation: Created High-Level Design (HLD) documents and wireframes based on project requirements.
• Client Interaction: Discussed technical feasibility and project scope with the client.
• UI Design & Development: Led the design and development of UI pages, building products and functionalities from scratch.
• Testing & Deployment: Prepared unit test cases, deployed product files across environments for testing, and analyzed/fixed defects in SIT, UAT, and production environments.
• Code Review & Maintenance: Adhered to code review checklists, performed code maintenance, and managed product-related documentation for future reference.
• Client Demonstrations: Conducted product demonstrations for clients via audio conferences, explaining each functionality in detail.
• Third-Party Collaboration: Provided demos to third-party companies for UAT testing and coordinated with them to ensure successful deployment.

• Product Development: Developed six insurance products, including Portable Electronic Equipment Insurance, Cattle Insurance, Agriculture Pump Set Insurance, Industrial All Risk Insurance, Individual and Group Health Insurance, and Long Term Home Insurance. Managed various Change Requests (CR) and New Requests (NR), ensuring successful production deployment.
• Production Support: Provided on-site support during production deployment in Mumbai, resolving critical production issues.
• Leadership: Led a team of 7 members, guiding them in the development of the Industrial All Risk Product and NR involving significant database and base code changes, resulting in successful production deployment.
