  • I am an active volunteer in Dr. Merline Benny, MD's, laboratory at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, FL. During this time, I assisted Dr. Benny in studying how Hypoxia and CXCR7 affect the heart. I conducted research by comparing Room Air Heart, Hypoxia Heart, and CXCR7 Heart. I also compared Hypoxia Heart and CXCR7 Heart with their respective knockouts. I used a microscope to capture images of the Pericardium, Myocardium, and Endocardium of the heart and to stitch together images of the heart.
