Work History

Graduate Research Assistant

The Catholic University Of America
04.2023 - Current
  • Graduate Research Assistantship at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center through PHaSER ( The Partnership for Heliophysics and Space Environment Research ) collaboration with The Catholic University of America
  • Completed administrative and research duties per professor request.
  • Performed statistical, qualitative, and quantitative analysis.
  • Contributed to professionally-written scientific paper for publication.
  • Compiled and synthesized data to identify larger trends and research patterns impacting area of study.
  • Planned, modified and executed research techniques, procedures and tests.

Undergraduate Research Student

University Of Manchester
01.2021 - 06.2021
  • Understanding formation and evolution mechanism of massive stars which produce all heavy elements in the universe.
  • Investigation of evolution processes of massive stars by analyzing variability in class 2 methanol masers and bremsstrahlung radiation in UCHII regions of massive star formation regions.
  • Coded in Python using Jupiter Notebooks to view FITS files of maser sources in CASA image viewer to identify and isolate spectrum of sources
  • Used VNC viewer and globalprotect vpn to work on Jodrell Bank Observatory computers remotely and securely.
  • Compiled data in reports and other documents using Overleaf.

Undergraduate Research Student

The University Of Manchester
09.2020 - 01.2021
  • Investigated formation & distribution of dark matter halos in the Universe and compared results of cosmological simulations to existing Press-Schechter and Sheth-Tormen models to determine which model describes the mass distribution better.
  • Coded in Python using Jupiter Notebooks, learnt to use SkyPy and AstroPy packages to obtain mass function for various parameters and made several plots using matplotlib.
  • Implemented statistical analysis, specifically Bayesian analysis and Markov chain monte carlo methods to analyze data.

Data Analyst Intern

Flow Solutions
08.2018 - 09.2018
  • Acquired internship in retail analysis company as data scientist to explore the fields of data analysis and get hands on experience of how to apply it to real life situations.
  • Researched method of predicting number of transactions including confidence levels, for a shop, based on historic passer’s by data using regression analysis. Thus, introduced the company to a new and accurate method of predicting transactions data for their clients.
  • Improved visualization of layout performance report of stores, by adjusting color scheme according to weighted value of various KPIs.
  • Delivered several presentations in business meetings during my internship to propose solutions to problems along with ideas for improvement for other topics.
