My 2 jobs have helped me developed skills in enhancing customer experiences in foodservice settings. My mom is part of the kitchen management team in Texas Roadhouse and working with her helped me develop "if you have the time to lean you have the time to clean" attitude. Now working in InNOut the transition was easier than most associates. For me there is always something to do whether that's doing a floor sweep to make sure the floor is clean or making sure the guests are happy. My job in InNOut has helped me see the importance of customer service as we are trained on that and constantly reminded by our managers. Going to other fast food chains every now and then has made me grateful for my training in InNOut because a simple smile and our tone of voice can make all the difference for our customers. Knowing Spanish has made my customer service experience an even greater experience with the hispanics that come in to eat. Some of them are regulars and know that I speak Spanish so when they come in to eat they sometimes request me to help as I am usually working in the front.
I traveled around the South Pacific when I was younger but I never thought much of it. In my teenage years I started watching food documentaries about other countries and it made my interest for travel grow. When I was 19 I went on a missionary trip for my church and served in a small country in South America called Paraguay. I was lucky to pass through different airports in different countries in South America and that fueled even more this desire of mine. I was able to travel around the north part of Paraguay and even going close to the boarders of Brazil and experiencing the Brazillian culture. I hope to travel more when I have the time and to visit my family in England next year.
