826 Valencia, nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting under-resourced students ages six to eighteen with their creative and expository writing skills and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. Every year 826 Valencia provides $20,000 scholarships to outstanding 5 high school seniors in SFUSD.

10,000 Degrees provides scholarships to students with financial need and who exhibit a strong desire to go to college and accomplish their educational goals. Our scholarship recipients are often the first in their family to attend and graduate college! We award scholarships primarily to students in the regions we serve in the Bay Area, California.

The Student Scholarship Program was initiated in 1974 to recognize the outstanding work of Chinese students in the senior high schools. Each year, TACT searches for students who will apply their skills to their workplace and devote a portion of their time and talents toward community and social concerns.

In 1999, Dr. Daniel Koshland Jr., the son of our foundation’s founding chairman, established the Koshland Young Leader Awards (KYLA). The awards program recognizes young leaders who balance extraordinary challenges yet continue to show academic promise and community leadership. To date, the program has awarded nearly $1 million to more than 170 young leaders to give them a jump start as they enter college.
