I have been acting as the technical lead for the mainframe related regulatory projects. My major responsibilities have been into technical design, team coordination and implementation planning and management. I have also been actively part of requirement analysis. I currently lead a 30 members team across multiple tracks of the current regulatory Low Income Discount Rate and Matching Payment Program Redesign projects.

Project Title: CT Financial Hardship Program Regulatory Project

Description: CT Financial Hardship Program is a collection of regulatory projects that aim in implementing the Low Income Discount rate to CT Residential Hardship customers and also redesigning existing Matching Payment Program.

Role: Technical Lead

Responsibilities:

• Technical Lead for Mainframe / Regulatory Projects.
• Coordinate multiple applications including non-mainframe applications related to the project.
• Gathering functional and non-functional requirements from the application users.
• Impact Analysis.
• Develop High level and Low level design documents.
• Applying technical expertise for the design, development, and delivery of products and services.
• Identify technical risks and plan contingency / mitigation actions.
• Identify and assign roles to team members, set project goals, and ensure optimum utilization of resources, including infrastructure and manpower.
• Plan project deliverables and monitor progress against plan.
• Ensure verification of deliverables per quality assurance plans and ensure the delivered solution meets technical specifications and design requirements.
• Coordinate and involve in structured peer reviews and walkthroughs of the project deliverables.
• Direct interaction with clients and internal teams to identify routine issues and keep stakeholders updated on project.
• Problem analysis and fixes for client and user identified defects

My major responsibilities have been into estimation, technical design presentations and team management. I have also been actively part of application development and requirement analysis during this time handling a Senior Developer role as well.

Project Title: Eversource Projects for Billing and Credits apps

Description: Billing and Credits applications are one of the most critical, high availability applications taking care of customer billing and non-payment credit and collections services in Eversource. The applications comprise of extensively complex algorithms in place for billing and invoicing different types of utility customers, payment processing and bill print generation. The applications also take care of default payments leading to credit and collections and possible service disconnections.

Role: Technical Lead, Senior Developer

Responsibilities:

• Technical Lead/Senior Developer for Mainframe Projects
• Gathering requirements (Functional and Non-Functional) from the application users.
• Analyze the requirements.
• Applying the knowledge of programming techniques to design, develop, test and document computer programs to meet project requirements.
• Conducting testing of developed software applications to be sure they will produce the desired results.
• Coordinate and involve in structured peer reviews and walkthroughs of the project deliverables.
• Work with other teams such as the infrastructure team and other application teams to deploy the changes in various environments and integrate the solution developed with other applications, as applicable.
• Provide User Acceptance Testing support by analyzing the defects raised and fixing it as appropriate.
• Provide assistance for migrating the modified code to production environment using the defined change management process.
• Develop operational documents for IT Applications.
• Problem analysis and fixes for client and user identified defects.
• Adherence to the defined project methodology.

Description: Billing and Credits applications are one of the most critical, high availability applications taking care of customer billing and non-payment credit and collections services in Eversource. The applications comprise of extensively complex algorithms in place for billing and invoicing different types of utility customers, payment processing and bill print generation. The applications also take care of billing and payment of high usage customers.

Role: Support Executive

Responsibilities:

• Attending transition sessions from onsite
• Understanding the system
• Preparing design documents/run book(Maintenance Operation Manual)
• Impact Analysis
• Coding and Unit testing.
• Batch Monitoring
• Tracking issues, finding the fix for the issues
• Analysis on Job delays and Job abends
• Provide resolutions to tickets within SLA
• Adhoc tasks and responding to User queries.
