As a Systems Analyst I with the Department of Technology and Innovation (DTI), I have worked on large projects with wide-reaching impacts to improve public safety, and increase the effectiveness of the Albuquerque Police Department and the City of Albuquerque. I troubleshoot and find solutions to various issues including hardware, software, and business processes.
I facilitate the procurement of a large amount of hardware and software and work with executive staff members of the department to assess their needs, problem-solve issues, and ensure customer success and satisfaction. I work daily with other personnel within DTI, Albuquerque Police Department, and the City of Albuquerque to bring teams together for projects and other issues. I also facilitate the procurement process for the majority of APD applications and hardware to include budgeting.
I work closely with our Data Team to determine data solutions for the Department which includes SQL databases, storage solutions and data integrity for the Department.
As the escalation point for major issues I communicate with executive staff members and end-users to manage expectations and reduce the negative impact of system issues. I identify areas of improvement for processes and work together with users and staff to develop sustainable and scalable business and technology solutions.
As the Real Time Crime Center (RTCC) Bridge Manager, I planned, directed, and managed the operations of the RTCC Bridge.
I refined the training process I developed as the RTCC Training Coordinator and standardized the on-boarding and daily activities of the RTCC Bridge Operators. I was responsible for all operations within the RTCC Bridge to include all technologies such as hardware, software applications, user account management and server management.
I managed large technology projects to include the requirements, implementation, and maintenance of the systems. I was the subject matter expert for all technologies used within the Real Time Crime Center.
I coordinated with Area Commanders, Chief's Office, and other ranking members of the Department to implement crime-prevention strategies and determine the best use of technology and personnel to increase public safety.
I coordinated the acquisition and implementation of new technologies and training techniques within the Real Time Crime Center. I was the subject matter expert for all technology and investigative techniques within the Real Time Crime Center Live Operations.
I possessed an intimate knowledge of the video management systems, databases, and mapping software utilized by the center. I was the administrator for multiple law enforcement resources and systems (e.g. Accurint, CLEAR, Motorola license plate readers, Genetec license plate readers, and SharePoint) and ensured system security and compliance with federal, state, and local laws/policies.

I assisted in maintaining hardware, software, and other computer systems as well as troubleshooting any technological issues that occur. I served as the Information Technologies Liaison for the Center and assisted with the selection, design, and implementation of multiple new applications.
As the RTCC Training Coordinator and Supervisor I implemented a standardized training process from initial hiring to ongoing career development. I worked closely with other departments such as the Department of Municipal Development and the Department of Technology and Innovation to design, implement, and improve systems and technologies to achieve the goals of the Center. I supervised all work done by RTCC Operators to improve the success of operators and the mission of the Center.
I provided real time information and investigative assistance to officers, detectives, and other specialized units. I led a team of several operators (sworn and civilian) and utilized multiple law enforcement and open-source resources to identify offenders and provide information on hazards to officers as well as the public. I was the primary trainer for all personnel working in the Real Time Crime Center and optimized the processes used in daily work. I maintained and deployed video surveillance trailers to include maintenance and replacement of network video recorders, cameras, and cradle-point routers.
Managed small-scale projects such as bringing Motorola License Plate Reader trailers online by working closely with Motorola to set up and configure software and hardware to ensure full functionality. Worked with DTI to manage the Real Time Crime Center's instance of CABQ Sharepoint to include customizing and refining the site itself. I was involved with testing new applications, providing design feedback, and identifying areas of improvement.
Troubleshot issues with hardware and software and performed maintenance on Openeye servers to ensure connectivity with the Real Time Crime Center. Worked with the Department of Municipal Development to bring new cameras online to the Openeye server. Installed and configured new PCs for the center and other hardware as needed.
