Every year, commercial salmon fishing starts around june 20th and ends around august 10th

there are five districts on the southeastern part of alaska where comercial salmon fishing is legalized,

from catching 20lbs to 20,000lbs each set, four crew members and one captain live on a boat for about two months grinding 15-20 hours a day.

the routine is consistent Everyday there was never a time where someone would be standing around not doing anything.

a great season for the average fisherman will be around 200,000lbs.
