HVAC-R Commercial Service Technician

Detmer & Sons

  • Got hired when I was 3 months into hvac school through Clark state. Got put into a commercial service technician position at $15 an hour. My role in that position was to be the back for a very skilled and seasoned commercial technician Scott Bailey who was coming back to work from a major surgery. Scott was a very inspiring man who's knowledge and kindness has driven me to be where and who I am in the heating and air career that I am today. We worked along side one another the majority of the time I was at detmer. He thought me how to diagnose and trouble shoot commercial hvac systems. We worked on a wide variety of commercial and residential style equipment, exhaust fans, mini splits, make up air units, boilers, along with the random refrigerators every now and again. We partook in a LOT of commercial start ups on systems, air balancing, economizer add ons, installing new equipment, setting zoning systems, and general finishing touches on new installs.
