My time at Dillards was the first time I had a Polo Ralph Lauren department I was solely responsible for so as a sales associate I was supposed to scan of any markdowns on the floor and tag them from the printer, I was to take care of any Customer that walked in and service them to a fitting room to increase the chances of them buying a piece of Clothing. Throughout this process I would encourage he or she to sign up for our rewards program and start earning points with the company for future discounts.
While I was employed at Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store in San Marcos I learned to use a register for the first time, Fold and bag up a purchase while maintaining that eye contact and a friendly conversation. The work during store hours was really easy selling, upselling, getting shoppers into fitting rooms and maintaining the recovery depending on the room you were assigned that day. The real work in my opinion started after hours during our floor sets where we would make sure the store was not only spotless but every piece of clothing was folded and merchandised correctly to the directive at the time for the new line of Clothing coming in.
